454 - Mercury Statue

Italian handcarved Vicenza stone sculpture of Mercury, carved enterely by hand by our artisans.

In Greek mythology Mercury (Hermes), son of Zeus and the nymph Maia, was the messenger of the gods, god protector of travels and travelers, communication, deception, thieves, scammers, liars, substances, divination.

Among other roles, Hermes was also the bearer of dreams and the conductor of the souls of the dead in the underworld.
